How does it work?

To launch Talk Squad, influencers including bateson87 and JaackMaate joined us on a Twitch live stream to give an insight into how the sessions work.

While their conversations with our clinicians were live streamed for the launch event, yours would be private and confidential.

Talk Squad is powered by Harry's

At Harry’s, we spend a lot of time thinking about shaving and ways to make your routine better. It’s kind of our thing.

Our aim is to deliver high-quality, thoughtful, and affordable products that people will be proud to use every day.

And here at Harry’s we don’t just think about how we can make you look better, but feel better too.

That’s why we set aside 1% of our sales to support our social mission to bring quality mental health care to men everywhere.

Between launching Talk Squad and other initiatives since our launch - we’ve reached more than 2 million men and donated over $12 million worldwide - making us the largest corporate donor to men’s mental health globally.

We hope you find The Talk Squad useful. Feel Good, Fellas.

FAQ

Talk Squad is open to anyone aged 18 or over in the UK. Each person can book one session, while availability lasts.

Talk Squad sessions should not be confused with medical treatment or therapy.

In your 1-2-1, you can chat to one of Shout's mental health professionals about anything that's bothering you while playing one of our three available games, which may act as a helpful distraction. The professional you meet with will listen, offer support and may suggest techniques or resources that could help.

If you need long-term support through medical treatment or therapy, please contact your GP.

If you need immediate support, please contact Shout by texting the word 'MATE' to 85258.

You can choose to play Apex Legends, Fall Guys or Halo.

Yes, your 1-2-1 session with a Shout Clinician is confidential.

If the clinician is concerned that you need urgent support with your mental health, there will be a couple of options open to you. The clinician may recommend you reach out directly to emergency services yourself, or you will be encouraged to text Shout directly on 85258.

Each Talk Squad session is up to 40 minutes long.

Please arrive to your session on time to ensure you get the most out of it.

Voice - Talk Squad sessions are held on Discord, where you will talk with the Shout clinician using a voice channel. Voice channels allow real-time, audio video communication, so you'll also be able to see each other if you choose.

Fall Guys and Apex Legends are available for free online on PS, XBox, Nintendo Switch. Halo is available on Xbox.

Click here to open the Talk Squad booking form.

Simply fill in your details, let us know the game you'd like to play, choose your time slot and click 'Submit'.

You'll get two emails from us: the first letting you know that we've got your request. The second will confirm your booking (or suggest an alternative) and tell you everything you need to know to join your session.

Talk Squad sessions will run from Thursday, 28 November to Wednesday, 18 December 2024.

Need support ASAP?

If you are struggling to cope and need to talk, our trained Shout Volunteers are here for you, 24/7.
