Woman volunteering for Shout 85258 text service

Volunteer for Shout from New Zealand

New Zealanders, we need your help!

Shout Volunteers are essential to our service and are at the heart of everything we do. They support people in the UK who are struggling to cope, helping them reach a calmer place.

You'll receive 25 hours of free in-depth mental health communication training and ongoing support from our dedicated Volunteer Support team so you can help others while developing invaluable skills for life.

Our New Zealand volunteers come online during the NZ daytime to help us support UK texters throughout the night and into the early hours of the morning, when other support services are not available to them.

Want to find out more? Check out our new brochure packed with the reasons why our Shout Volunteers are proud of their role and would recommend it to others.

Thank you for your interest in supporting us and our texters.

Testimonials

Having lived in the UK for a number of years and still having family and friends there, it's a place very close to my heart. Being able to support people in need at any time of the day has given me a huge sense of purpose. The staff and volunteer community has been hugely welcoming and supportive, I feel proud to represent Shout.
