Run the London Marathon for Shout

Running the London Marathon is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we're here to help you every step of the way. By joining the Shout fundraising team, you'll allow us to continue providing free and confidential help around the clock, for anyone in the UK who needs urgent support with their mental health.

Whether you were lucky enough to secure a ballot spot or want to run the marathon in your own time, you're in the right place! Find everything you need to know below.

Already have a place?

Fran - London Marathon

If you've managed to secure a ballot place in this year's London Marathon - congratulations! Now your place is secured, all you need to do is head over to JustGiving to set up your fundraising page.

We'll support you with a free Shout-branded technical running vest, a cap for those sunny training days and a handy digital fundraising pack.

As a ballot runner, there's no minimum fundraising commitment. We recommend setting your first target at £250 - the cost of training a new Shout Volunteer to take life-saving conversations.

Running the half marathon showed me my own strength and running it for a charity made the whole experience more special.

Enter the TCS London Marathon MyWay

If you weren't successful in the ballot this year, don't worry! The TCS London Marathon MyWay sees tens of thousands of people taking part in the world's biggest marathon from wherever they are, on the same day as the main event in London. You can take on the challenge any way you like over the 24 hours.

How to enter

Simply register your place, then set up a fundraising page (find us under our charity name, Mental Health Innovations). If you have a group of friends of family members who'd like to get involved, why not consider signing up as a team?

Alongside a free Shout running vest and cap, the £30 entry fee guarantees all participants an official running number and finish line tape. Finishers (those who complete the 26.2 miles on the 27 April) will also receive the coveted TCS London Marathon medal and an official New Balance t-shirt!
