Shout’s garden at the Chelsea Flower Show

We’re excited to share that Shout will be exhibiting a garden at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show. This has been made possible thanks to our sponsor MS Amlin, whose commitment to supporting mental health has helped bring this meaningful project to life.

The container garden, titled ‘The MS Amlin Peace of Mind’ garden, designed by the award-winning garden designer Hamzah-Adam Desai, focuses on colour therapy and the powerful connection between nature and mental wellbeing. Hamzah said he began gardening fifteen years ago as a way to boost his mood in winter. He says even on a grey day, the colours and textures of nature can improve his mood.

Hamzah said: “This is a garden inspired by my own journey into horticulture discovering how gardening and colour therapy with plants enhances my mood and mental wellbeing and I’m delighted I can bring this garden to the Chelsea Flower Show to help support others too.

Having seen the work that Shout does to support people across the UK with their mental wellbeing, I am thrilled that I’m able to design a space that will help support more people’s mental wellbeing and connect with nature, before it then goes to its forever home at Haven House Children’s Hospice, where it will provide a calming presence to the children, their families and the staff who support them.”

Amir Sethu, MS Amlin’s Head of Sustainability, said: “As a leading (re)insurer, we understand the importance of providing peace of mind in an unpredictable world. That’s why we’re excited to partner with Shout, part of Mental Health Innovations, to highlight their vital work and the positive impact of nature on mental wellbeing. We're also proud to support another of our valued community partners, Haven House Children's Hospice, by permanently relocating the garden to their grounds after the show, where it will create a calming space for children and their families."
