PeerChat - a new service for under 25s

If you're aged 16-25 and want to talk to someone who understands, you can connect with a trained volunteer through PeerChat from The Mix.

What is PeerChat?

Sometimes it helps to talk to someone who understands what you're going through.

PeerChat is an online chat service for people aged between 16-25. You’ll be matched with a trained peer supporter close to your age, who’s there to listen and talk things through with you.

PeerChat is run by The Mix, SHOUT’s sister organisation.
They support young people with any issue affecting their life.

  • SHOUT is a 24/7 crisis support text line
  • PeerChat is a scheduled online chat with a trained peer
  • It’s for 16-25 yrs only

If you’re under 25, you can book a PeerChat session with The Mix.
