Donations to Shout doubled in the Big Give Christmas Challenge

Simply support Shout’s Big Give campaign by midday on 5 December, and your donation will be doubled. Can you help us hit our match funding target of £50,000?

I'll donate to help people in mental health crisis this winter.

The cost of living crisis is a mental health issue

Those living in poverty are more likely to develop mental health problems than their peers, and least likely to have access to effective support.

Demand for our service is highest from the most deprived regions of the UK and 25% of texters under the age of 18 are in receipt of free school meals. In almost half of conversations about the cost of living crisis, texters had suicidal thoughts as they struggled with the situation.

If you’re able, please help those who most need support with their mental health this winter by making a donation.

Testimonials

thank you for talking to me and just being there as I talk through my struggles of being homeless and lonely. Shout was empathetic, compassionate and had a good understanding of how I was feeling.

The impact of supporting Shout in the Big Give

By supporting us in the Big Give, you’ll be helping us to provide free, confidential support to anyone in the UK who is feeling overwhelmed, stressed or suicidal - whether that’s due to the worry of mounting bills and debts, the stress of making ends meet or the mental health impact of living in poverty.

Hitting our campaign target of £50,000 will allow us to support 5,000 people in their moment of crisis - support that could save their life. We’ll recruit and train the new volunteers needed to meet demand and continue to run our service 24/7, including through the festive period while other support services are closed.

I'll donate to help people in mental health crisis this winter.
