Volunteer for Shout from New Zealand

New Zealanders, we need your help! Shout Volunteers are essential to our service and at the heart of everything we do. They support people in the UK who are struggling to cope, helping them reach a calmer place.

You'll receive 25 hours of free in-depth mental health communication training and ongoing dedicated coaching so you can help others while developing invaluable skills for life.

Our New Zealand volunteers come online during the NZ daytime to help us provide round the clock support for people struggling to cope. They staff our 24/7 service, enabling us to keep talking to texters when it's the middle of the night for our UK volunteers and when other services are not available.

If this sounds like something you would like to be involved in and to join our wonderful community of volunteers - and you are available to volunteer between 10am and 6pm New Zealand time - read on!

Please note: when filling in your phone number on the application form, please leave a space after +64.

Testimonials

Having lived in the UK for a number of years and still having family and friends in the UK, it is a place still very close to my heart. Being able to support people in need at any time of the day has given me a huge sense of purpose. The community of volunteers and staff at Shout 85258 have been hugely welcoming and supportive, I feel proud to represent Shout.
